Many of the new DSLR cameras offer pretty serious video recording capabilities and as such, it’s increasingly common to use a DSLR to capture videos. Of course, having to fiddle with the lens to adjust the focus on the DSLR probably isn’t the most ideal thing, since you can easily cause the camera to move slightly and ruin your masterpiece. The solution might come in the form of the $400 USB Follow Focus device, which can be hooked up to your camera via a mini-USB plug. It’s simply a knob on an aluminum enclosure that can adjust the focus on your camera, not to mention the fact that it offers a bunch of buttons that can be used to define focal presets and is compatible with most Canon HD DSLR cameras. If you think this will win you an Oscar, you can pre-order one now.
