FiOS Disney ESPNIn an attempt to increase the amount of channels available on Verizon’s FiOS network, Big Red has just made a deal with Disney to gain access to local signals from 10 Disney-owned ABC stations. This deal gives FiOS subscribers access to Disney’s ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN Buzzer Beater) in addition to their channels like ABC Family, Disney Channel and the planned Disney Junior. The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed but we’re pretty sure it wasn’t cheap. Either way, it should be a win-win situation for everyone involved – Disney gains more viewership, Verizon expands its FiOS channel lineup which in turn keeps more customers happy and draws in new ones. Looks like kids and adults (who are FiOS subscribers) will have a reason to rejoice – after all, who can complain about having more sports and cartoons to watch on TV right?
