AMD’s latest Fusion platform will merge both graphics and CPU functions onto a single chip in order to deliver enough power without consuming too much juice at any one time. The initial Fusion chips to arrive at stores were the C-series and E-series low power processors for netbooks and notebooks, while a newer series of Fusion processors will arrive later this summer, targeting desktops and laptops. These will also be known as the AMD E-300 and E-450 Zacate processors, resulting in a total of half a dozen E-series chips. Consuming a mere 18W of power, you can be sure that the performance of your device will not be compromised in any way, while experiencing and enjoying superior battery life to what you’re used to. Apart from that, AMD is also tipped to roll out a new range of 32nm Llano processors for desktop computers in due time.
