Earlier this week we had “confirmation” about the BlackBerry PlayBook’s April 10 release date. It looks like the BGR exclusive info has been refuted by RIM themselves – but at least this time, it’s not bad news. RIM has confirmed that the PlayBook will be arriving by the end of Q1 for the US, earlier than the rumored April 10 date. Since this month is the last month of Q1, we’ve got about 4 weeks until we see the tablet for sale in stores. A smart move by RIM, since the iPad 2 will be released next week, pushing the PlayBook release date earlier than rumored will only encourage people to wait a bit longer for their tablet. But if they don’t deliver on time, a lot of hearts are going to be broken. Will you be buying a PlayBook this year?
