What do you think of the idea of having Big Brother monitor the whereabouts and movement of phones so that they can find a more efficient way of ensuring smooth traffic? That is what China’s government is mulling over, especially what with the recent 62-mile traffic jam that took nine days to clear up in Beijing last August still fresh in peoples’ minds. The government being what it is, you can’t help but tread with caution on this offer, with the upside of they doing what they mean, helping reduce congestion in the long run through a better planning system and knowing who is going where, although there is always the danger of them using this as an excuse to track down fugitives and enemies of the state.
