Foxconn has backup measures for iPad 2 component supplies

Foxconn, one of the main companies who supplies products for Apple’s iPad 2, is confident that they will be able to deliver the relevant supplies for at least 2 to 3 weeks more without any disruptions despite the recent earthquake disaster in Japan, being prepared with backup suppliers to combat such an emergency. Never mind if the component supplies do enter shortage territory, Foxconn says that they can secure supply resources in ways that are better than their competitors. This is good news for those who want an iPad 2 in the mean time, but we are still not sure whether other component manufacturers will be or have been affected by the earthquake, so things might still not be too rosy in the end, either.
