Fuel cell black cab debuts in UKIt can be quite safe to say that most people in the UK at the moment are pre-occupied with the upcoming royal wedding, but do bear in mind that other interesting (and perhaps more noteworthy) things are happening in that part of the world as well. Take for instance news of this black cab that has just been deemed to be road legal in the UK, as it is the result of Intelligent Energy, where the cab will come with a fuel cell with a 30 kW net output and a 14 kWh lithium polymer battery pack, which is touted to deliver adequate electricity for an entire day’s operation, not to mention being able to hit a top speed of 81mph, while accelerating from zero to sixty in 14 seconds. Not too shabby if you ask us, and we do hope to see more of these zip around London in time for the Olympics next year.
