Gameloft logoGameloft has just announced a deal with Qualcomm that will bring enhanced games to phones that run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. Gameloft will be rereleasing so of their best-selling HD game titles, optimized to take full advantage of the Snapdragon processor and Adreno GPU. Perhaps there will be the possibility of a “Snapdragon Store” like what NVIDIA has with the Tegra Zone in the future? Some of the games that will be enhanced are: Spider Man Total Mayhem HD, Real Football 2011 HD, and Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus. The mobile phone arena is starting to look at a lot like the desktop PC gaming world now, with developers creating games that run better on certain graphic cards. But with phones unable to swap out graphic cards unlike desktop computers, this favoritism of hardware might not seem like a good idea. What do you think?
