Google Talk Guru answers your questions on IM

If you’re feeling lonely and have nobody to chat with on Gtalk, Google might have the solution for you. They have just launched the Google Talk Guru, the official chat bot on their instant messaging service. While the Talk Guru won’t reciprocate feelings of loneliness or sympathy, what it will do is answer any questions you have and you need to know the answers to right away. All you have to do is add guru@googlelabs.com to your Gtalk contact list and ask away. Questions have to be specifically worded though. For example, if you’d like to know the weather in Paris, key in “weather Paris” and hit enter. Talk Guru will give you the answer you’re looking for. In the meantime it’s the mister know-it-all of what you want to know, maybe in the future Google will give it the ability to feel “emotions” and talk to you like how a normal person would.
