G1 Honeycomb

The world’s first shipping Android phone, the G1, has been given a new lease of life thanks to the folks over at XDA-developers. They have managed to successfully port Android 3.0 Honeycomb onto the smartphone. While the good news is the ROM works, a lot of features aren’t working and the phone lags a lot – which is pretty much the case with almost every unofficial Android ROM when it first launches. Anyway, if you don’t have the patience to wait for the ROM to be completed and you want to try it out, stay tuned to the XDA-developers forum, they’ll be releasing a build in the near future.
