
The Kinect has had software written to let it do at least a 101 things at the moment, but every week more uses for the device just keep popping up. Some folks in the UK have managed to get the Kinect to work with two Tesla coils – using the motion tracking device, they’ve managed to make the Tesla coils respond accordingly, depending on your hand motions. Lifting your hands upwards will cause lighting to flash, just like the terribly overused and cliché effect that’s been used in countless movies and cartoons. But seeing it happen in person is actually pretty cool, it makes me want to go out and get my own set of Tesla coils and a Kinect.
