Lenovo ThinkPad X220 specs posted online

Lenovo has put forward the ThinkPad X220′s specifications online for all and sundry to check out – that is, if you’re willing to purchase a new laptop, of course. The PDF file that details a new ThinkPad X220 model mentions a 12.5″ size which is different from what we’re used to, while a new “buttonless” touchpad is also mentioned. Old school fans of ThinkPads will be pleased to know that the mouse keys are retained in support of the TrackPoint navigator, where among the other hardware specifications include a 1366 x 768 IPS (In Plane Switching) display, a range of processors that max out at 2.7GHz Core i7-2620M CPU, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a buffet of Intel SSDs of up to 160GB in storage real estate. With a 9-cell battery that has been rated to last you up to 15 hours, you can also tote around another external battery pack which ought to keep you tether-free for a cool 23 hours more. This should be rolling out pretty soon, so you might want to start budgeting for it soon if you want one.
