IE 6 usage stats

You would think that any attempt to push Internet Explorer 6 off the face of the world would done by a rival company, but no – the creator of IE 6, Microsoft, has just launched a new campaign to move users off the 10-year old web browser. They launched a website called the Internet Explorer 6 Countdown – where a map of the world shows the percentage of IE 6 users around the world, and Microsoft’s goal is to reduce those numbers to zero. The site lists the benefits of using IE 8 instead of IE 6, and reasons why people should upgrade their browsers. Hopefully these IE 6 users will upgrade their browsers to IE 8 or 9 instead of a rival browser, for Microsoft’s sake. How many of you are still using IE 6?
