Olympus TOUGH TG 810: world’s first 100kg crushproof camera

Olympus has claimed that they will be releasing the world’s first 100kg crushproof camera. Called the TOUGH TG-810, this digital camera has been designed to take a serious beating. It is waterproof (up to 10m), shockproof (from a height of 2m) and freezeproof (to -10C) so you can be sure that this camera goes where you go. It packs a 3-sensor GPS & Electronic compass as well as a built-in manometer to make sure users don’t dive too deep. In addition to being practically indestructible, it is no slouch when it comes to taking pictures or video. The TOUGH TG-810 packs a 14 megapixel, 5x wide optical zoom (28mm-140mm equivalent) lens, it features a 3D shooting mode, 720p HD video recording capability, underwater scene modes, face detection, shadow adjustment technology and many more features. The perfect gift for folks who always find themselves sitting on their cameras and breaking them. The TOUGH TG-810 will be available in April 2011 and will set you back $399.99.
