Word on the street have it that Pentax will be rolling out their Pentax NC mirrorless system later this May or June, and as with any self-respecting tech site, we would want to scour the Internet to bring you any possible leaked images – so here they are, a first glance of the upcoming camera and lenses. It does seem to be a digital version of the extremely popular albeit small Pentax Auto 110, in line with Pentax’s goal of developing the smallest mirrorless system in the world. Basically, it is a 14-megapixel 5.6x crop sensor that is capable of recording HD h.264 movies, where a couple of other lenses will also roll out alongside the NC-1, notably the prime 8.5mm f/1.9 (almost 47mm equivalent) and a zoom 5-15mm f/2.8-4.5 (28-80mm equivalent)! Of course, such news doesn’t stop here, as we have word that Pentax will develop a couple of different mirrorless systems, where the scond one will come with a far larger APS-C sensor and will play nice with current K-mount lenses as it rolls out to the masses this coming summer.
