Philips has just unveiled a new set of docking speakers designed to work over WiFi so you never have to deal with the hassle of connecting cables to listen to your music ever again. Called the Fidelio SoundSphere, this sleek looking speaker dock allows you to listen to music without your iPhone ever needing to leave your hand. Just play your music through AirPlay and your iOS device will recognize the speakers as long as you’re in range. The round speakers are also designed in such a way that it can provide music in all directions, meaning that you can place the speakers in the center of a room and you’ll be to listen to your music no matter where you stand or sit in the room. The Philips Fidelio SoundSphere will be available from May onwards and will set you back around $1,110 (799 EUR).
