Qik video connectQik (currently owned by Skype) has just released a new app for the iPhone. Called Qik Video Connect, this app allows users to make 2-way calls, record video mall and host live video broadcasts that you can easily share on Facebook and Twitter. In addition to you broadcasting your own videos, you can easily create a newsfeed that loads videos from all your friends, so you’ll never have to miss out a post from then. Qik Video Connect works over 3G, 4G (unsupported by the iPhone at the moment) and WiFi. The app is available on the App Store for $2.99, while the free version is still awaiting approval from Apple. The main differences between the premium and the free version is the addition of real-time effects and filters (like those found in the Qik Video Camera Pro app currently available), editing tools and support for HD-video quality. Head here if you’d like to give Qik Video Connect a shot.
