One more reason to root the NOOKcolor: Bluetooth It’s really amazing to see what the folks over at XDA-developers can do with the NOOKcolor. After they managed to root it and install all sorts of custom apps and ROMs onto the device, it appears that they have enabled a new function on the device – Bluetooth support. With the use of the latest version of Cyanogen Mod, a custom ROM, they have managed to get Bluetooth enabled on the tablet. While Bluetooth does work, at the moment it only has a functional range or 13″. Perfect for close range accessories like a keyboard or headset, but you can expect its range to be increased in the future. Perhaps we’ll be able to make calls with the tablet through the Bluetooth headset as the next step?

Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. rooting: Rooting is essentially a process that allows users of smartphones, tablets or other devices running on Android to gain “superuser” access to the software. This will allow the user to perform administrative tasks such as writing to locations normally restricted by the system which in turn will allow for deeper customization.
