Sprint has just announced that the Samsung Epic 4G and Samsung Galaxy Tab on their network are now ID-enabled. This means that Epic 4G and Galaxy Tab owners will be able to download “ID packs” – a collection of apps, widgets, ringtones, wallpapers, shortcuts and more that have been customized specifically to meet different needs and interests. The ID packs available at launch include Health & Fitness, Entertainment and branded packs such as Yahoo! and MTV Music ID. This enables users to customize their devices hassle-free with just one download. For the Epic 4G, this update also includes Android 2.2 (for those who haven’t updated their phones yet) and will add additional functionalities such as Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Bluetooth dialing and the ability to store apps on to external storage. The Sprint ID packs are free to download and will be available from today onwards. Head here for more details.
