Sony Ericsson looks set to roll out another phone in the US, having sent their G11 handset to the FCC for approval. Being part of the company’s upmarket iida product line, it will come with a slider keyboard (somehow I don’t really take a fancy to this form factor as I find in my experience that the sliding action tends to spoil the microphone much faster due to some wired connections in there), an extendable TV antenna and a dedicated email button. Running on Sony Ericsson’s very own feature phone OS which is powered by a Qualcomm 1GHz SnapDragon QSD8650 processor, this model will arrive in Japan, although it does have Global Passport CDMA/GSM service support as well, so you can always bring it roaming with you.
