Over the weekend, some folks managed to get their hands on a Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7 device that left a lot of people wondering if Sony Ericsson would be releasing the phone or other WP7 phones in the future. However, the king of mobile inside information, Eldar Murtazin has tweeted that the SE WP7 phone is a discontinued prototype from the company and we won’t be seeing it on sale. With Sony Ericsson announcing that they want to be the world’s largest Android handset maker, it’s highly unlikely that they will be shifting their focus onto WP7 devices as well, so the report about the phone being a discontinued prototype makes sense. Then again, Sony Ericsson could pull a fast one on us and put the device up for sale. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if anything happens. What are your thoughts?
