Barely a fortnight after bringing you news of the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace hitting the 9,000 apps mark, here is news of a new milestone – it seems that the Marketplace has gone one up on that milestone by surpassing the 10,000 apps for download crossroads. It is a relief for us to see Windows Phone 7 shrug off its relatively slow start when it comes to the Marketplace, and as more developers hop aboard the bandwagon, we do hope that this healthy and friendly competition will at least help Windows Phone 7 put up a decent three cornered fight against iOS and Android operating systems. Hopefully in the long run, it will be us consumers who win in the end since all parties will do their utmost best to ensure that the software and apps that roll out are of the highest quality.
