Home > Apple > WWDC sold out on day of announcement

Don’t you just love records, as they are there to be broken? Today marks one of those moments, where Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) for this year is already sold out, taking less than 24 hours. Yup, you read that right – it means that WWDC 2011 was sold out on the same day it was announced, so for those who missed out on the tickets, you need not make your way over to Moscone West in San Francisco this June 6th till the 10th. Apple did not make any official announcement on the sellout, but the event’s home page spoke a thousand words with the graphic that you see above. This is a huge jump compared to the 2010 event that also broke the previous record, although it took a comparatively longer time to achieve a sellout – we’re talking about 8 days. Guess the next record would be mere minutes…
