If you’re living Stateside, then you would be able to part with your money and bring home the Acer Iconia Tab A500, which is the first 10.1″ tablet from Acer that is powered by the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. This tablet device sports a 10.1″ multi-touch screen as mentioned earlier, the NVIDIA Tegra 250 1GHz dual-core processor as well as an integrated GeForce GPU for those who want to enjoy HD gaming on the go, and a slim and modern aluminum body that tips the scales at a mere 1.69 pounds. Measuring a mere 0.52″ thin, you can bet your bottom dollar that it comes with both a forward and rear-facing camera to shoot photos and carry out video conferencing to boot. Currently a Best Buy exclusive, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 that boasts of Wi-Fi connectivity is up for pre-order from April 14th onwards, while hitting physical stores from April 24th and up. At $449.99 a pop, we would have liked to see more internal memory thrown into the mix instead of just 16GB, so good thing there is a microSD memory card slot that bumps up the final total by another 32GB if you have the right card.
