Since you can’t change the iPad 2’s camera, you’ll have to resort to software to get the job done, and this is where Camera Boost comes in. No, it can’t make your photographs taken with the iPad 2 better – but it can mask all the flaws of the photographs taken with the device with special filters and fancy effects so that your pictures look much better.
Camera Boost has also been designed to take full advantage of the tablet’s A5 dual-core processors – its filters and special effects can all be previewed in real time, so you no longer have to wait for a photograph to render just to preview a different selection. It happens in real-time. In addition to adding special effects, Camera Boost also adds functionality to the camera that isn’t present in the default app, so even if you’re not using it to be artsy, it makes your camera more useful than normal.
Camera Boost is available now on the App Store for $2.99, and will only work on iPad 2 tablets running iOS 4.3 or later.
