They say that necessity is the mother of all invention, but how many times have you seen your wireless router actually spontaneously combust simply because it ran too hot to touch? We haven’t either, but perhaps there is always the group of people who are paranoid enough to think that the sky is falling on their heads everywhere they turn and go to. Hence, the creation and existence of the Dr. Cool router cooler, which in our opinion, sounds more like some sort of Dr. Pepper clone beverage.
The Dr. Cool router cooler hails from Evercool, where it more or less prolongs the life of your router by a wee bit. Come to think of it, routers don’t really need cooling, even if you happen to live in a hot and humid environment, and so what if your router actually busts itself up? It should be about time to make a change anyways, so forking out more money for a new model makes perfect sense.
We won’t be wasting our time purchasing one of these though, but it looks like some sort of Facehugger for your router if you’re into all things Alien.
