OK, so here’s a handset that probably isn’t going to turn too many heads even when you whip it out from your pocket – we’re talking about the Motorola iDen phone, having made its way to the FCC. No idea on who else wants to use iDen handsets in this day and age, but we guess that if there is a market, surely Motorola wants to fulfil that niche. Known as either the i475 or the i235, this is a candybar handset that comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, offering push-to-talk support, Bluetooth connectivity, a 2.5mm headphone jack (now that’s going to be a stinker – can’t they just use a standard 3.5mm jack and make life easier for everyone else?), a camera of unknown resolution count, a speakerphone and an integrated FM radio. Talk about basic and bare bones! Seems to be something from the pages of 2005.
