iPad 2 supplies limited due to cover lenses

It seems that the magical iPad 2′s limited supplies were not constrained by touch panels, but by cover lenses instead – where these cover lenses were required for touch panel modules. It has been noted that Apple has already sold up to 2.5 million of the iPad 2 tablets in the entire month of March, and should supply ramp up, then Apple might have the capacity to ship more than 4 million units monthly in the coming financial quarter. Of course, such plans of utter domination might not work unless manufacturers actually get up and about, ramping their production capabilities where the necessary lens component’s production is concerned.
