Scouring the FCC’s (Federal Communications Commission) web site could prove to be a rather thankless job, but the joy that comes with unveiling something new that is ready to be revealed to the world is nothing short of amazing, leading to emotional highs even for geeks and self-proclaimed nerds. One of the more recent devices to be “unearthed” so to speak would be the Motorola i420, where it functions as a basic clamshell handset and has been caught to feature the Boost brand.

Some of the images of this clamshell handset show off a couple of displays (as expected of a clamshell), while Bluetooth connectivity has also been confirmed. The user manual remains in draft mode, where it did mention several features like push-to-talk, group calling, a 2.5mm headset jack (now that is certainly a mystery since many manufacturers would have much better luck with a 3.5mm jack instead where compatibility with other accessories are concerned), and an integrated FM radio.

Boost Mobile and Motorola have not released any official information concerning the i420, but we believe it is just a matter of time before that happens.
