According to a blog post by Eldar Murtazin, the “king of mobile phone leaks”, Nokia is currently working on four Windows Phone 7 devices. The first two Nokia WP7 phones will be called the W7 and W8. The W7 will be the guinea pig phone for Nokia – put out on the market for testing, and given to engineers and developers to work on as the basic Nokia WP7 phone. The W7 is expected to arrive in fall. The W8 will be like the flagship Symbian phone – the Nokia N8. But instead of Symbian, it will be running WP7, and will likely feature a 12 megapixel camera, though other aspects of its internals might be changed. It is rumored to arrive early next year.
The other two phones haven’t been named but they include a low-end version of the W7 featuring similar specs but made from lower cost materials to put the phone into budget category. The other phone will be a QWERTY keyboard toting device with a touchscreen. No word on when these devices will arrive and how true these details are, but Eldar Murtazin has a history of being reliable for his tips. Read up the full post on his blog.
