Panasonic adds yet another member to their TZ series in the form of the Lumix DMC-TZ20, where it will come with a new 3″ 460,000-pixel Smart Touch Intelligent LCD display, letting you access Touch AF, Touch Zoom or Touch Shutter features during recording as well as other playback functions with high visibility.

Boasting of a 24mm Ultra Wide-Angle Powerful 16x Optical Zoom LEICA DC Lens in the DMC-TZ20, this compact shooter should be an able traveling camera that will not let you miss a shot, thanks to its powerful 16x optical zoom that increases to a 21x equivalent, all the while making full use of its Intelligent Resolution technology so that a high picture quality can be maintained in the midst of using digital zoom.

Not only that, it is able to capture full HD video – clearly a feature that needs to be incorporated these days if a digital camera wants to remain competitive. It is also interesting to note that the high-quality stereo sound of Dolby Digital Stereo Creator will come with each video recording for more realistic sound than ever before.

To up the ante, a new 3D Photo mode is also thrown into the mix to produce a 3D image in the camera – it will capture 20 panning shots while selecting two of the most suitable images automatically in order to synthesize a 3D composite.
