US Cellular has just announced a new Android phone to add to their lineup of smartphones. This time it’s the entry-level Android 2.2 Samsung Gem for folks who are thinking of giving Android a shot but don’t want to spend too much money. The Samsung Gem packs 3.2″ (240 x 400) display with anti-scratch, anti-smudge and anti-reflective protective glass, an 800MHz processor, a 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot (up to 16GB), WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. The phone also comes preloaded with apps designed to help you keep in touch with your friends and family. The Samsung Gem is available now and will cost $29.99 after an $80 mail-in rebate.
