Remember the Sony Android tablets that were leaked a couple of months ago? Well, we might be seeing one of those products (or some other Sony Android tablet) on retail shelves in a few months. According to some reports online, Sony Corp’s CEO, Howard Stringer has been reported as saying Sony plans to release a tablet computer by the end of summer. The tablet will be running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and will hit the US market first. There’s no telling if it’s the S1 tablet that was leaked in sketches or something totally new, however a new Android tablet in the market isn’t much of a surprise anymore, after all everybody is hopping onto the bandwagon. While Android tablets are plentiful to choose from, now let’s see more Honeycomb/tablet-optimized apps popping up for the platform.
