Everyone is looking forward to the royal wedding that is happening later this week in the UK, as Prince William finally gets to bring home his love to the palace for good – without the need to go through a glass shoe fitting session as he is very sure of who he wants to settle down with for the rest of his life. You can be sure that there will be a flurry of Facebook updates and tweets concerning the grand occassion, as invitees have been encouraged to report the event live via Twitter and mobile uploads. Henceforth, the idea known as the TweetingSeat which will delve into the potential to connect both physical and digital communities.

The TweetingSeat will be a bench that functions as an interactive medium which will record the users’ behavior whist he/she sits on the bench, tweeting away to their followers (if any). Featuring a couple of cameras with one located on the bench to check out the surrounding area, while another is placed nearby to look at the folks using it. Both cameras will go ahead to capture proceedings that happen, streaming it live to the bench’s Twitter page. Talk about Big Brother surveillance, but at least you can be sure that there will be some sort of wireless connectivity in that area for this idea to take off.
