No, Twitter isn’t going to start using falcons to deliver your tweets to your friends, but rather, they have switched back to an older version of their micro blogging site for some users as the new site proved to be inaccessible to others. According to a message on Twitter’s website, “We’ve temporarily disabled #NewTwitter. Our engineers are working on re-enabling it and we’ll update you shortly.” Currently, Twitter has over 200 million registered accounts and has proved to be a popular communications service, especially when it comes to toppling regimes in the Middle East. Twitter did announce that they were moving their infrastructure to a new home at an undisclosed location, in order to remain afloat and up-to-date with its capacity needs while offering users greater reliability. Hopefully the fail whale won’t have a swimmingly good time for long…
