Whenever you talk about Velocity Micro, chances are tablets will not be at the top of your list. Well, since tablets have done their part by dominating headlines for quite some time already, why not go ahead and talk about Velocity Micro’s very own Cruz Micro T301? Yes, this Android-powered tablet will finally be getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update, as all new models will ship with it while existing T301 owners can always look out for a software download that needs to be done manually – so make sure you do it over a Wi-Fi connection if you want it to be speedy.

Of course, it makes sense for tablets to be powered by the latest operating systems at all time where and when possible, or perhaps even the yet-unreleased but tablet-optimized Android 3.0 Honeycomb. On the bright side, at least you can further enhance the use of the Cruz Micro T301 tablet by installing all your favorite applications onto the SD memory card directly, without having to worry about whether there is any more space or not – just swap out the SD card and problem solved!

Apart from that, the software update will repartition the tablet’s 4GB internal storage into a couple of 2GB partitions, where one of them will appear as /sdcard (and the external SD card slot now showing up as /sdcard2).
