Apple has released a range of updates for their latest MacBook Pro notebooks as well as iMac desktops which already come with the high-speed Thunderbolt port, and we are pleased to note that the issues related to performance and stability have been fixed – keep your fingers crossed that nothing new comes out of this! The couple of updates will be available for MacBook Pro owners, where the MacBook Pro Software Update 1.4 is a 132.69MB download, while the MacBook Pro EFI Update 2.1 will weigh in at a mere 3.06MB. You will be able to get both of them via a couple of methods – through Apple’s website directly or via Software Update.

Update 1.4 is touted to comprise of fixes that improve graphics stability, address issues with external display support and 3D performance, while making sure Thunderbolt device support increases by leaps and bounds.

As for the EFI Update 2.1, it will feature fixes that will resolve an issue with Turbo Mode in Boot Camp, while making sure performance and stability for graphics and Thunderbolt are improved. Just make sure that your power cord remains connected and plugged in to a working power source when you apply this update, since it will go around updating the EFI firmware on the MacBook Pro.
