Asus’ first netbook that boasts of the new Intel Atom N570 processor has finally arrived in the US, where it will be a wee bit speedier compared to the N550. After all, it does pack a dual-core N570 1.66GHz chip – now, if only software programmers ensure that their software makes full use of both processors in order to maximize its efficiency, right?

Other specifications of the Eee PC 1015PX include a 10.1″ display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, 1GB DDR3 RAM and a 250GB hard disk. Expect Windows 7 Starter to come pre-installed as the operating system of choice With two variants to choose from, the 1015PX-PU17 will come with a 56W/h battery that delivers up to 11 hours of run time, while the 1015PX-MU17 has a 48W/h unit for a maximum of 10 hoursof battery life.

Other hardware specifications of the Eee PC 1015PX include a stereo speaker system, a 0.3-megapixel web camera, wireless N, Bluetooth 3.0 technology, LAN and VGA ports, three USB 2.0 connectors, and an SD/MMC card reader. Color choices are definitely more fun as you can get black, white, red, and blue, although we have no idea whether the cases will be in glossy or matte finish.
