dB Logic has started to ship their HP-100 headphones that will target both teens and adults – thanks to the inclusion of dB Logic’s SPL2 technology that will go out of its way to help protect users from long-term hearing damage, helping regulate volume as and when required without sacrificing on the delivering of great stereo sound.
According to the American Academy of Audiology, around 12% of all children ages 6-19 do suffer from noise induced hearing loss – we are not surprised actually, seeing how many devices these days come with headphones and kids seem to have a freer rein in controlling the level of their volume – and they do tend to blast it to the maximum when left unattended. With the new dB Logic HP-100, it is hoped that music enjoyment will not be reduced, all the while helping prevent hearing damage from happening due to long term exposure to loud volumes.
With dB Logic’s proprietary SPL2 technology, it will be able to limit volume levels thanks to advanced circuitry, doing away with the need for bulky battery-powered processors that see action in competitive sound pressure limiting products. The dB Logic HP-100 headphones will retail for $49.95 a pop – any takers? [Press Release]
