Droid X Gingerbread update arriving soon?

Something familiar has been started happening again. Remember back when the Droid X was about to receive its Android 2.2 Froyo update, the update servers were showing a message saying “Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later.”? Well it looks like it’s happening again, according to the folks at Droid-Life.

Instead of the usual “Your system is currently up to date.” message Droid X users were getting when they went to check for their phone’s latest updates, they received a try again later message instead. Now, by all means this is no confirmation that the update is on its way, in fact it could merely be a server downtime issue or something else altogether. But because this has happened before, in addition to the Official Gingerbread Droid X ROMs that were leaked previously, we are inclined to believe that an update is coming soon.
