All things old is new again as SquareEnix just announced the next game in the Hitman franchise will be Hitman: Absolution. See? SquareEnix can make games that don’t revolve around spikey-anime-haired heroes and heroines fighting monsters! Developers IO Interactive will be bringing Agent 47 for a “personal journey which allows [gamers] to explore other parts of the Hitman fantasy. This is both a familiar and yet significantly different experience from other Hitman games; something our silent assassins will relish, as will all those new to the Hitman world.
Hitman: Absolution is due on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sometime next year. More info will be revealed at E3. That’s about it. E3 is shaping up to be a very good show this year don’t you think? Are you looking forward to more Hitman? Click past the break to watch SquareEnix’s new teaser trailer.
