Microsoft’s Kinect has clearly done a whole lot more than what the software giant imagined – many users have already hacked it to serve other purposes, and some of them are even quite brilliant. Well, today we shall look at another way Kinect, a gaming peripheral, might just make you more productive at work. In fact, Kinect controls are able to work in tandem with Microsoft’s own Powerpoint software. There is a demonstration of the entire shebang in a video right after the jump.

Mr. Ramaprasanna is the technologist in the video who hails from India, where he actually relied on the Kinect to control Powerpoint and its slides. Bear in mind that this is not an official Microsoft demonstration, but an independent one, so don’t get any funny ideas that down the road, future purchases of Microsoft Office might just see them throw in a free Kinect peripheral instead of having one to go along with your Xbox 360.

What would you like to see most for the Kinect to do if your imagination’s the limit?
