Plants vs Zombies for Android is free for the momentPopCap Games have come up with some rather compelling titles in the past, ranging from Bejeweled on the desktop that clearly sapped away productivity from cubicle drones, to casual gaming titles on iOS powered devices. Among the hit titles would be Plants vs Zombies, where you would love to tell your partner that you have just this “one more level to complete” before you go about the tasks that you promised him/her.

Plants vs Zombies for Android can now be downloaded over at the Amazon Appstore, and it is Amazon’s free app of the day, hence saving you $2.99 in the process. We are quite sure that once this offer runs out, folks still don’t mind forking out the three dollar asking price.

There is one downside to this though – your Android-powered smartphone will need to be adequately muscled, since it won’t play at all on some of the older and mid-ranged models such as the old school Motorola Droid and T-Mobile MyTouch 3G. Weighing in at 75MB, this is a rather hefty download, so make sure there is enough space on your handset beforehand, no?
