PlayStation Network restoration runs into hiccupsSo Sony has already started to restore its PlayStation Network (PSN) service to the masses, but that doesn’t mean there are no more hiccups involved. Some users have in fact started to complain over Twitter that it was active only for a short while before it became unavailable yet again – something that PSN users have gotten used over the past 3 weeks. Tom Cranfield tweeted that “Playstation Network was back up for about 10 minutes before going down again for maintenance. Nice work Sony!”

As for Lee Fraser of Manchester, England, he tweeted that “Playstation Network is Back down looks like the servers have crashed.” This has led Sony’s PlayStationEU Twitter feed to ask users to be patient. That might just be pushing it considering they have been patient for nearly a month already.

Sony themselves announced that it is a planned outage of its network services, as they are “expereiencing [sic] a heavy load of password resets and will be turning off the services for 30 minutes to clear the queue.”
