One of the cooler features in touchscreen phones these days would be the ability for said handsets to adjust their lighting levels according to the brightness around it, thanks to a built-in light sensor. This will not only let your eyes enjoy optimal viewing at any time of the day (save for when you are outdoors, of course, unless you don’t mind your phone sporting an E Ink display), but it will also do its smart bit to preserve battery life as and where necessary. Interestingly enough, Samsung has issued a couple of updates for their Galaxy S II smartphone, where they claim that those updates will zap a bug that was related to the automatic brightness control.

Not only that, Swype has been transformed to be even more responsive and several connectivity issues were also fixed in the process, making us feel as though we just have to get our hands on the Galaxy S II since it does look to shape up to be a super phone of sorts right from the get go.

With the new update, your Samsung Galaxy S II should be on the i9100XWKE2 firmware. In addition, it can be rooted for you to go ahead with custom ROMs and tweaks. You can get the updates straight away via Samsung Kies.
