Heard of Andy Pad before? No? Well, they’re a UK-based company that will be rolling out a bunch of new tablets to the masses in due time, having revealed additional details about their future Andy Pad tablets at a private event recently. It is said that the tablets will be comprised of two models – a basic version which will come with 8GB of internal memory and a resistive touchscreen display, while the other would be its flagship model, sporting 16GB of storage space. It is said that the former will cost you around $200 after conversion, while the latter is around $270. $270 for the flagship model sounds extremely conservative, then again, it isn’t on par with the high capacity iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab models. Hopefully Andy Pad would have thrown in Wi-Fi connectivity at the very least, with a 3G option to help you remain connected on your tablet at all times.

It is said that the Pro model might also be in the works, although it remains to be confirmed as to whether that is the same 16GB model or not. The Pro model is tipped to arrive with front and rear-facing cameras amongst other features. Hopefully Android 3.0 Honeycomb will power the devices right out of the box so that we won’t have to wait for software updates. Additional versions of the device will be marketed worldwide, without releasing additional details on the where and when.

No idea on why the Andy Pad received the finger in the photo above…
