This helicopter game reminds me of the iPhone/web game where you control a helicopter that has to make its way through a maze/cavern that has various ups and downs, which you would have to avoid. The best score is calculated by how far you can make it without crashing. On the iPhone, navigation of the helicopter is controlled by touching the screen to make the helicopter fly up, and releasing to make the helicopter fall. Well, Owen of hackniac has created a game similar to the iPhone and web version, except with the use of the ATtiny13 controller and a old Nokia 3310 LCD.

The game follows pretty much the same rules as the iPhone and web version, except this time it uses a physical button, which when depressed makes the helicopter fly up, and when released, allows the helicopter to fall. This is a rather ingenious use of old technology, and we sort of wish we saw this game make its way to the 3310, although we’ll have to admit that Snake was pretty fun as it is.
