Gemini has just announced their latest device that will target aspiring DJs – the Gemini FirstMix USB DJ controller, where this introductory controller will comprise of an easily set up professional device, letting you be the DJ whom you knew that you could always be – never mind that the rest of your family do not share the same vision and ambition. The award-winning FirstMix will hook up to a laptop or desktop computer through USB, letting you DJ with your iTunes or any other music library since navigating through folders and tracks is a snap with its browse function. The moment you load a file, the touch-sensitive jog wheels will allow you to scratch to your heart’s content, or even bend the pitch of a track to your liking.

In addition, FirstMix will also ship with a Sync feature that will allow you to merge two separate tracks of your choice, while matching the beat of their tempos for a more unique and professional-sounding mix. Novice DJs might just get the feeling that they are nearing “Pro” status through the spicing up of tracks with various effects and reverse, in addition to adjustable bass and treble.
