Nexus 4G

A couple of weeks ago, the folks over at BGR released information on what was allegedly the world’s first exclusive information about the next flagship Android phone – the Nexus 4G. Well now it seems that they’ve come forward with even more details about it. The phone is said to be codenamed “Prime” and will possibly be named the “Google Nexus Prime” at launch. Apparently Google aren’t going to stick to one carrier and one OEM for releasing its Nexus device this time around. The company is said to be releasing a bunch of Nexus phones that will be made by a different manufacturer for each carrier so that nobody will be left out when it comes to getting a Nexus device.

Other details that have been reported is that Samsung will be manufacturing the Nexus Prime, and it will be packing a TI OMAP4460 SoC as previously reported. The phone will also sport Samsung’s trademark Super AMOLED display (this time it’s branded as Super AMOLED HD), along with the latest version of Android: Ice Cream Sandwich. As usual, let’s treat this as a story as a rumor and nothing more – not until we’ve got some solid evidence to proof this is real.
