Have you made the jump over to the tablet revolution just yet? If the answer isn’t in the affirmative, then you might be interested in the HP TouchPad, which is the first webOS-powered tablet from HP. It has finally arrived at the pre-order stage, so placing one doesn’t mean you can bring home one of these puppies straight away. There is a long list of retailers which will carry the HP TouchPad, where among them include Amazon, NewEgg, Best Buy, Walmart, Staples, Radio Shack, J&R, Office Max, Office Depot, Costco, Sam’s Club, PC Richard & Son, and Micro Center amongst others.

Even HP’s site has listed it, but the world’s largest computer manufacturer currently accepts orders for businesses only at the moment. This tablet will arrive in a couple of capacities – we are looking at a $499.99 16GB model, while you will have to fork out another Benjamin more for the 32GB model.

Either way you swing, you will find a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor inside, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a compass, stereo speakers, Touch-to-Share, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and webOS that has been specially optimized to work on this 9.7″ device.
